At The Fresh Sourdough Express we have been proudly serving local and organic food to the Homer community and travelers from around the globe since its inception in 1982. Each year we continue to expand on our commitment as the changing food industry shifts. We are now able to source more humanely raised meats and with the movement towards a more sustainable community we are blessed in Homer to have numerous new organic farms, including high tunnel green houses, that enable us to offer more local & organic ingredients than ever before, and for an extended period of time.The friendly ambiance of this establishment is reflected by the core values of sustainability that we share through our business practices. Since the creation of this delicious, growing concept, we have embraced the model of running a socially and ecologically responsible establishment. We seriously strive to run a Zero Waste operation by incorporating the principles of recycling, waste management, energy saving solutions, water-saving systems, and biodegradable packaging.
