We visited John and Caroline back in summer on a trip down to North Carolina from Pennsylvania, and spent a wonderful couple of hours being shown around their solar-powered farm. Caroline is English, and John is Californian. They have lived on Nile Road for the past 6 years, gradually building up their farm. Their White Holland Turkeys are beautiful and their Indian Runner Ducks were a hoot to watch as they swam around on the one acre of naturally landscaped pond.

They really care about the health and welfare of their animals and the duck eggs and chicken we went away with were the best we had ever tasted! They use Oregano Oil, Kelp and other natural food supplements to keep their birds healthy. My wife is allergic to soy and hasn't eaten chicken in years, so they really won us over.

We are planning another trip soon, and this time we will be armed with coolers and ice so we can do a proper shop!
