Coffee Pot Ranch is a family owned and operated custom meat business. Please feel free to contact us for additional information!
The ranch is a dream for both of us. Taran and Sara were a big part in the inception of the ranch. Taran graduated from Cal Poly and moved back to Iowa for a bit. Thankfully she has returned back to California and now along with her beautiful daughter have become part of the family business. She is part of the everyday workings of the business along with represents the ranch at various farmers markets promoting Coffee Pot Ranch products. Sara finished at Cal Poly and is now an Engineer with MBK Engineering in Sacramento. She is a part of the ranch for tours, advertising, marketing and the occasional ranch sitter! It's nice to have her still involved even in her very busy life. We feel lucky to have them both involved and making Coffee Pot Ranch a success!
We see ourselves as true livestock people using the best of the animal husbandry practices that does not rely on antibiotics or artificial growth enhancers. We believe that our animals achieve their maximum potential with less stress, sound nutrition and a healthy environment. Mother Nature will sometimes test the latter, but that keeps us constantly working toward improving the ranch.
We believe in agriculture and the promise of a healthy food source, locally grown, and sustainable for the producer. Having the opportunity to be raised surrounded by agriculture we want to be able to share the fruits of our labor. We don't have a lot of time to sit in the gazebo looking over the ranch at the cattle, horses, cats, dogs, the migrating geese or the American Pelican that stops by for a short respite. But we love what we do. I love what I have been doing for my whole life.
The family farm is a dream for many, connecting to the inner workings of life itself. We hope to fulfill our dream and be an inspiration to others to keep dreaming. With the support for locally grown and sustainable agriculture we will continue to produce a quality product that is home grown for your table.
Yours for better eating! Bob, Shirley, Taran, and Sara
