CSA Program

The CSA offers the experience of being directly connected to an urban organic farm, and is really a mutual commitment between eater and farmer. You, as eater, make a financial commitment by paying up front and you commit to picking up your produce each week at the farm or one of our neighborhood pickup locations; I, as farmer, make the commitment to grow food in a way that you find valuable. No other farm is growing food like mine: no petrol is burned; no commercial fertilizer or feed  is imported from off site.  My practices have been termed "natural farming" and "wild farming" because they resemble the ecological cycles found in nature. My farm serves the community.
Commit to supporting a beginning farmer and your local food system. Buy a weekly share of organic farm produce. The term of commitment is for 50 weeks. The farm offers two share sizes. The Meal share consists of one or two types of vegetable each week and costs $300, the equivalent of $6 per week. The Metro share includes three to five types of vegetables each week and costs $450, the equivalent of $9 per week. Additionally, you get the peace of mind that comes with knowing your farmer. Participate in this farm!

Humble Roots Community Supported Agriculture is an urban organic farm in West Sacramento. All labor is performed by hand and beast; no machines are used. All methods are ecologically responsible and contribute clean soil, water and air, as well as native plants and wildlife, to the local food system. All food is eaten in the community in which it is grown. You can't buy food like this anywhere else.
