Primal Pastures Southern California was founded in 2012 out of a deep respect for the land and a belief that nature has provided the optimal template for raising healthy chickens. We only offer one type of chicken: organic, pasture raised, soy-free, GMO-free, sustainably raised, and humanely processed birds that spent their entire lives out on pasture soaking up vitamin D, picking and scratching for bugs and worms, and acting like chickens are supposed to.
We use portable shelters and portable electric fencing to allow the birds a true free range experience and space to roam and forage. They are rotated for pasture management and to ensure our chickens are getting as much green material as their genetic potential will allow. We are committed to raising the finest chicken in the United States and will stop at nothing to continue improving our product. We are located within 1 hour of Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego.

We offer a true farm to family purchase experience with monthly pickup locations in Los Angeles, Orange County, Long Beach, and from the ranch in Temecula. Pre-order only. Our goal is to provide local families with premium poultry and connect people with their farmers, so we do not ship. We are interested in working with top-quality co-ops.
