There are a couple of really good vendors at this market. You can purchase most of your needs here (veg, meat, etc.). Some of the vendors do not seem to be selling really local grown food, but you can quickly see who is.
There should be a few genuine farmers in the market that I don't know everyone is. Broccoli isn't out in September. No way. I want the kale to have some dirt on it. The okra should have been around early August. I'm not always sure where the vegetables are coming from.
The location is great and everyone is friendly. I really would like to see this market grow and I should think the powers that be wanting to invest in uptown (can't seem to get past the bar-bar-bar restaurant speed bump in up town) could do a bit of "fit-Pitt" goodness by focusing their energies on developing this as it really could be something else.
