The whole point of a farmers' market is to provide consumers in a community with the opportunity to purchase produce grown within the local community. The Cookeville Farmers' Market is known for it's vast selection of locally grown quality produce. The past few years, however, have seen several "resellers" filtrate into the Cookeville Farmers' Market selling items that they have purchased outside the local community and even the state. We don't mind the competition, but do appreciate honesty. We encourage consumers to ask vendors questions about the produce they are selling.

I Love the Cookeville Farmer's Market! I grow a diverse organic garden myself but struggle with learning to manage the soil characteristics of this region. Prices for most produce is very reasonable. The farmers are all willing to share the growing knowledge and I always get great tips for growing my own organic veges. Also picked up some beautiful mums and some raspberry bushes for a fraction of the cost anywhere else. I just wish there were a greater variety because I can't buy the same things from every farmer!
