The small town charm of Burton is the perfect setting for the market. People come to town to eat breakfast at the local café and then stroll through the market. Several new businesses have begun at the market. The regulars that set up are: country loaf bread, all natural grass fed beef, jewelry, produce and herbs, sock monkeys, dolls, totes and coin purses made from old embroidered linens, cutting boards and furniture made from local trees that died in the drought and smelly jellies home fragrance. Sometimes there is soaps, lotions, scrubs and pecans, mead and honey spreads.
I enjoy spending time with the vendors just as much as I do eating their goods. I have found the best gifts to give at the market, they are gifts I am proud to give since they were made local and from the heart.
