Great place, unfortunate location
Bennett's is a wonderful place with tons of amazing baked good, treats and produce! They are a great model for farm storefronts everywhere.
The problem is that the City of Hamilton is planning on building industrial and commercial development all around the farm, with the intention of purchasing the property for more development. This project, the Airport Employment Growth District (AEGD), is mapped out OVERTOP of Bennett's....showing that the City plans to pave over the farm in the future.
This is unfortunate and most customers of the wonderful place have no idea what it will be like in 10 years. Let's hope, by some miracle, that the project does not go through and that farmland is preserved!
