Terrific little market for locals

Loved this market last year. Every Sunday my Sweetie and I would buy the fixings for a special Sunday dinner: fresh seafood (the wasabi tuna was incredible, but also salmon, ling cod, sole) and organic vegies. We loved getting recipe ideas from the folks shopping and selling; we even tried some new vegetables on vendor's recommendations. Among the ready-to-eat items: the bran muffins were ever-so yummy (and often sold out early), friends said the Chai drinks were awesome, and we found the dark roasted almonds uniquely delicious. In addition to great food, this tiny market also featured a fine artist (Don Ponte), crafts (pottery, jewelry) and information booths (Glen Ellen Historical Society, Voter registration and more). We enjoyed the entertainment and hope that the children's choir will return for more performances. The space could use a few more picnic tables/benches/umbrellas for shoppers to visit with friends and eat some goodies while knives are sharpened. The Marin Farmer's Market can be overwhelming, the Sonoma Plaza Market too busy, but our little local market is perfect for folks from Glen Ellen.
