Review Detail

The Wild Ramp
Grocery/CO-OP's
The Wild Ramp has local food from a 250 mile radius- but most of the food is from about 100 miles or less away- and you can taste the difference! Like any farmer's market, you'll only be able to buy vegetables and fruit when they are in season, but the freshness and flavor makes it fun to follow the seasons. Strawberries, picked that day. Asparagus, cut that morning! REAL tomatoes- with all the tomato smell and flavor that you just can't get at the chain grocery store. Heirloom vegetables you haven't even tried. And besides the produce, they also have milk, meat raised from pastured animals, farm fresh eggs- even ice cream made from pastured milk! The list goes on and on, and everything just tastes better!

Pros & Cons

Pros
Local food tastes better!
Cons
You won't be able to get "out of season" produce- so don't expect blueberries in March.
