Best Farmers Market in Tallahassee
This is easily the best local produce market in Tallahassee. Every Saturday morning, the top farms in town bring their crop to share with eager shoppers. You can always find great names like Turkey Hill Farms and Orchard Pond Organics.
The spread of fresh vegetables and fruit showcases the best seasonal selection in the area - you can stock up on everything from juicy Georgia peaches and giant bell peppers to fat green tomatoes and chubby eggplants. In addition to the produce, shoppers can also find fresh meat, occasional cheeses, bundles of sunflowers, and a great little stand that sells potted herbs and small garden plants.
The pavilion itself isn't as large as markets like the one in Thomasville, GA - but everything you need is quaintly waiting in this covered area (perfect for rainy days). Sitting in a large shopping center, there is always plenty of parking for the market. As part of my Saturday morning farmers market tradition, I always stop by Au Peche Mignon after loading up on veggies to treat myself with a tasty French pastry.
